About me

I am a life-long learner whose natural curiosity for the world around me led to a career in UX Research.

  • My UX Research journey began at Capsule in New York City. Capsule is a digital health start-up and online pharmacy looking to change the way customers receive and refill their medications. At Capsule, I built out a user research function under the Insights team that helped Capsule’s Product, Design and executive team understand our users and their motivations.

  • From Capsule I moved on to join Wayfair, doing user research for the supplier side user experience. This pivot not only brought me into enterprise side UX research but also brought about a maturity to my craft as I worked with and learned from experienced UXers in the UX Research and Experience Design organizations.

  • Soon after, I made an even bigger move across the United States to Seattle, WA to go back to school as a part-time evening student at the University of Washington in their Human Centered Design and Engineering department.

With a foundation in Human Computer Interaction from University of Washington, and a breadth of experience working as a UXR in industry I bring a common sense approach to UX Research that is grounded in a foundation of sound research practice. Complementing my background is a drive to provide impactful insights and recommendations for the people and products I work with.

Some non work tid-bits about myself …

I lived in Shenzhen, China for 2 years as an English teacher in a public elementary school. From this experience and my studies in High School and College I speak some Mandarin Chinese.

As an outdoors addict, I’m an avid hiker, runner, and skier. I need a fresh dose of nature at least once a week to keep me going.

I’m a proud dog-mom of Vinny, a mixed breed rescue who loves to join me on all of my outdoor adventures.
